Non-professional rocketry in one form or another has been a
tradition in the United States since the 1940's. Up until recently much of
this activity has been in the form of model and high-power rocketry using
commercially manufactured black powder and composite propellant rocket motors.
The formation of organized experimental rocketry groups, the increasing federal
regulatory burden and other factors have combined over the past few years
to encourage a growing number of individuals to experiment with composite
propellants and rocket motors of their own design. A number of sources of
information and materials have become available to help those who desire to
participate in this activity with success and safety.
In response to this need, RCS was founded to offer "famous brand"
high-quality components for custom composite propellant rocket motor fabrication.
These components currently include molded phenolic nozzles, propellant casting
tubing,k phenolic and fiberglass motor casing material, phenolic and paper
liner tubing, o-rings, casting plugs, forward & aft insulator washers,
and delay/smoke charge insulator tubes.

We now accept PayPal for online payments! NEW for 2002 we have
added a resource library CD-ROM which includes a series of informative NASA
technical reports in PDF format, chemical technical information and material
safety data sheets (MSDS), the Air Force Chemical Equilibrium Specific Impulse
(Isp) Code, helpful design spreadsheets and more. Some of these are available
for free download from the "Resources" page. In addition, RCS is
now offering single-panel nylon parachutes in 16", 22", 30"
and 42" sizes at wholesale prices!
Future
We are in the process of expanding our website to include links
to other experimental rocketry sites, and EX-launch calendar and a user's
page where you can post your own propellant formulations and motor designs
for fellow experimenters to try!
We have been working on introducing additional products for 2002, including
popular "effects" propellant premixes (pre-characterized and non-hazmat;
just add your own AP and curative), experimental motor hardware and FREE,
tested & proven motor designs!
