DDI Isocyanate Curative

RCS DDI isocyanate (Dimeryl Diisocyanate) is probably the best curative ever available for HTPB. It can be cured at elevated temperature (we recommend 120 to 140 deg. F) or at room temperature with a small amount (1 drop or less per 6kg propellant) of dibutyltin dilaurate or other urethane catalyst, It provides low toxicity, outstanding pot life and excellent physical properties. It also allows you to use less plasticizer than you would normally. Use at the 19.4% concentration level with HTPB with an OH value of .80 (hydroxyl equivalent weight of 1250) and with a 1:1 NCO:OH ratio. For the mathematically challenged that's 80.6% HTPB (at .80 OH value) and 19.4% DDI isocyanate (with no plasticizer). Adjust the formulation accordingly for other OH values and NCO:OH ratios. 8 oz. bottle.
